Just in case anyone on my f-list was wondering, since I haven't had a proper post in what seems like a year- I am alive! I am living in Wisconsin for how and have been since January. I have to go hang out in a garage at the horse barn I work at to get internet, and now that my car won't start, I don't even get to go to Panera, but it's all good. I'm coming back home (to Chicago burbs) for (if everything goes right) about three months, then I'm moving randomly to Cardiff. Ok, well, I guess people can guess why I picked Cardiff. *blush now* but it's a cool place and I was looking in the UK anyway. Besides, I've been talking to a lady who owns this yard in South Glamorgan and they might let me come live and work there for a while.

Yeah, and I'm going to Chicago TARDIS 09. I'll be there even if my mom has to give me a ride there! It'll be the first con I payed to get into. I hung out around Terminus but we were in Mackinac the first part and I was really broke so we just went to Reggies and that stuff. Also, I was dressed as Tonks for that but I wasn't doing anything special. I plan on being in character as Gwen the whole time there, even though I have a feeling not too many people will be cosplaying at all.

Also I haven't been knitting too much but I have made one Marquise gauntlet
http://www.elann.com/ShowFreePattern.asp?Id=249024
again and this time I've even started the match with the same yarn!
HELL YEAH! I love halloween. I start thinking of and planning my costume typically around the beginning of September. Once I decide, everyone knows because I barely shut up about it. Last year I was Vyvyan from The Young Ones and this year I'm being Mrs. Lovett from Sweeney Todd.

Hank said was to catch extra nerdy dreams and I told him I've been dreaming whole episodes of Angel so my dreams are already extra nerdy. :) I had all three of them sign my DH and John wrote CRAP on the epilogue and then Hank went to do it and was sad that John beat him. Katherine also signed it. I'm going to have the wrocker boys sign it too. Next Saturday I'm going to see Ministry of Magic, Whompy, and Justin Finch Fletchly and the the Sugar Quills.

<lj:music>none because I left my headphones at home. :(</lj:music>

Last night something happened that I don't think has ever happened to me. Even when my sister was little and we shared a room, when she woke up screaming because the severe thunderstorm scared her. I was waken up last night because of a noise.
By the time I came to enough to realize it was a sound that was bothering me I was still to drowsy to wonder what it was. At first I thought it was a storm, because it was threatening to yesterday. Then, I thought it was a raccoon rummaging in our garbage bins. They're right outside my window. I peaked through the blinds but I couldn't see them from the angle of my window. It was a few minutes later that I remembered my dad saying they come and take the garbage in the middle of the night. I peaked out again and caught the lights of a big truck driving away through the thin wall of trees.
I started the Goblet of Fire audiobook where I last remembered before I fell asleep and set my computer to fall asleep in one hour. If I let it play all night I wake up like I never slept at all, worse than an all-nighter. I layed there for an hour, but it cut off somewhere around Veela- and then I was just laying there. I couldn't stand it and it was about 6 am, an hour til my first alarm went off and I knew if I fell asleep I'd never get out of bed and I'm sick of being late to school.
I put on Angel where I left off, I got two episodes in and then hurried out of the house to stop at McDonald's before school.
I was still kind of dazed, and I swayed on the spot while I was waiting at the busy McDonalds. They were out of biscuits and Mcgriddles. I wanted a biscuit, but I settled for a funny tasting bacon egg and cheese bagel and a coke.
Now I still feel messed up, my eyes warm and tired. I think I got the equivalent of 2 good hours of sleep.

I'm here at school again, and there's another musician up on the little stage with his guitar. He's kinda cute, he's called Zane Williams. Definitely the kind of music I listen to in my car when I'm driving alone and want to belt something out.

Yesterday I bought a lot of stuff. I bought a jean jacket to make into Vyvyan's for Halloween, and I got it for under $5. Then I wanted to go to Hobby Lobby to get the studs for it, but it was closed on Sunday for "family time and Worship." bull. So I went into the fabric store and got a white paint pen and a black sharpie and three little ceramic pots for Vim's tank.
Then I went into that huge book/music/movie/stuff store and almost bought a Slytherin shirt and a Serenity lunchbox, but I decided to save my money, but I bought a Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix poster book, to wallpaper my room with. I also got the Lord of the Rings trilogy finally, so I can read it instead of just listen to the audiobook. :D

I also said I didn't want to make more videos, but I do whatever I feel like at the time, and right now I'm feeling like making some more videos.

Or do I just have a lot to talk about?

I saw Sweeney Todd last night, live and it was amazing, for lack of a better word.
All of the actors also played instruments, Toby was crazy, and there was a very good song that came back in a lot of reprises that was taken out out of the movie. It was the Ballad of Sweeney Todd, and it was great.
"Attend the tale of Sweeney Todd
His face was pale and his eye was odd..."

The ending was so great.

The original Broadway was a very grand scale musical, but the 2005 revival scaled it down a lot. I found a really early Toby Keith cd, one that has some songs from my greatest hits cd that I got for my birthday in 7th grade, and it was $5.00!
I also found a package of two Tim McGraw cds for $8.82. :D
I haven't listened to them yet.

I'm sitting in the student center listening to a girl called Shevy Smith singing and playing guitar. She's pretty good. Maybe I'll record a little bit here with imovie. I got the English class thing worked out, I'm in a creative writing class with some characters. I was finally going to sit down and watch that Comic Strip Presents that has a really pretty young Ade and Jen in it, but I think I'll just listen to Shevy instead. I wonder if she has a CD out.

Last night I saw a really good Mash episode, Hawkeye runs off to the peace talks. :D When he comes back BJ throws a party and they're all wearing red and they all dye their hair red.
I was thinking I'd dye my hair red now anyway because it's faded pink now, but it's almost all blonde with one inch dark brown roots, so once I bleach the brown out I really could do any color, but I like red. I went to Sally's and they had a permanent red dye, so I will either buy that, or I will transfer $15 to my paypal from my old IL checking and buy two bottles of Cherry Bomb. Also, the fountains at my school have dyed water that looks like MP's Enchanted Forest, and I have a teeny bit of it left so I may do the tips or just a streak of it in the red.

Yesterday my dad and I went to the Farm Progress show. I posed for pictures in front of a bunch of huge ass combines and tractors, and we saw Nevada Joe, a mustang who has a breyer model made of him.
I just finished Breaking Dawn. I'm sitting here at work and the feeling is different, yet kind of the same as finishing Deathly Hallows. Like I could pass out or jump up and down at the same time. I have to say, I liked it.

I'm a little disappointed that the wolves aren't true werewolves, because now Leanne's song Lupine Lover is technically incorrect. I knew t was too good to be true because the pack was so awesome. It was like being a wolf and a man at the same time, without the pain of the full moon. I almost would trade Leah's pain to be able to feel that, to shapeshift into a wolf. The one thing I kept forgetting was their size. I kept picturing Jake a little bigger than an Irish Wolfhound, so everytime it said he looked down at Bella I got a little jolt. When Emmet said "horse sized wolves" I was finally able to picture it.
Once I got a day to sit and think about it, I was fine with Jake imprinting because of who he imprinted on. I was startled, but I liked it when Edward said, "Goodbye, Jacob, my brother... my son." because I guess eventually he will be his son.
I am trying to resist the urge to immediately start reading it again. I think I would, but at home I have a freshly signed copy of An Abundance of Katherines waiting for me. :D

OH MY GODDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!

Today was amazingly awesomely awesome! I cannot even explain how amazing it was. It was probably one of the best days of my life, if not THE best.

It started out normal enough, I was able to wake up before my alarm and get out of bed at around 10:30, then I went and picked up my check, $200, and went to the credit union and cashed half, deposited the other half. Then Trish and I went downtown (someone que Kevin Turvey! jk) and went to the huge ass library to see JOHN AND HANK GREEN!!! Then, I bought An Abundance of Katherines for $4.50 and John signed it, but wait, it gets even more awesome! Standing directly behind me were 3 of the 5 Awesome Girls! So I took a picture with Lauren, Kristina, and Kayley.

Then we went to Panera, where Kayley, Kristina, and Lauren came in just minutes after us. Then went over to the park and saw more awesome Youtube people. When John and Hank showed up Hank did his two Harry Potter songs, and then Leanne and Lena sang and Lauren and Kristina joined in some, and it was awesome, because John came up and stood right behind where I was sitting to film them singing the song about Looking For Alaska. Hank got up and I got a pic with him. (squee!!!)

Then we went to the Bean and made a movie!

Then we went to Reggie;s Music thingy for DANCE PARTAY WITH JOHN AND HANK GREEN! Ok, so really, it was Hank opened with the same two songs, then some newer wrock bands I hadn't really heard of, then Paul from Harry and the Potters played some songs and everyone was dancing like crazy. My feet were really tired we went to sit down by the wall, and I was kind of dancing there. All of the sudden, John was dancing like two feet from me, then Hank joined in. :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

THEN, (that's right, the awesome doesn't stop there!!!) Just when I was saying, "The only thing ever that could make this night better was if Alex Carpenter showed up." AND THEN HE DID! With MC Dumbledore. THEN, Whompy and Brian of Draco and the Malfoys came on and Alex played tambourine and they really rocked out, then they played Wizard Rock Heart Throb and I was screaming, then they played Draco and Harry and right in the middle Paul came up and kissed Brian!! :DDDDDD My camera had run out of battery by that time. :( Then they did House of Awesome and I was just screaming the lyrics at the top of my lungs. Then it was over and they kicked us out.

All in all, I think 8/8/08 was wonderful, super, fantastic, coolness, remarkable, and AWESOME and the best day in the history of the world.

At least he is happy and gets to stay in the family, but I just really didn't want to give up the hope of that one scenario Bella imagines in Eclipse where she and Jake have a happy little family running about their heels. So now fate's a main part of the story too. I think Stephenie is saying it was fate that Bella and Edward have a child, and that that future was so strongly tied to Bella that there was really powerful magic tied to it to make Bella need to be near Jake. That makes no sence the way I wrote it but it does in my head! The only other explanation was that Renesmee way part of Bella before she was even born, that she was there in spirit?
I can't be articulate with words at all today. Anyway, my stuff's done importing to imovie so I guess I'll go continue to make my little vid. (Nerf Herder and Rik Mayall!)

i just finished book two, and oh my god. I literally screamed out loud, "OH NO JACOB DON'T DO THAT!!" What the fuck. I was really thoroughly enjoying reading about the pack, because that is always the part that while reading the other books I wished we got to hear more about. Jake is hands down my favorite character in the entire series, and it's not just because he's a wolf. (Although that certainly helps)
Book one was way too ugh for me. I was going" Oh no Steph, you're giving all the little fangirls a perfect little wedding and honeymoon, it's too gushy, it's too guchy!" Ever since Edward hinted that a shotgun wedding wouldn't be that bad, I thought Bella was just going to acquire a child somehow, but I really didn't think she'd get pregnant until about when she ate the "bad" chicken and then woke up sick. I was sooooo excited when I saw book 2, honestly I was so eager to start reading and preoccupied by the ball thingy we had to go to that night that it didn't even register as weird that the contents only contained so few chapters, I didn't even check the page numbers. I also go SOOOOO INCREDIBLY EXCITED when Edward actually suggested Bella have a real family with him. He's so warm, so real. I love him and I am entirely envious of the close and easy relationship Bella has with him. I was also afraid he and Leah were going to have a thing there for a while when he was saying how nice it was to be on the same plain with her. When Edward started hearing the baby, I was annoyed. Things were going so well between Edward and Jacob because none of them cared about anything anymore but Bella, and making her happy.
I was pretty sure Bella wouldn't die but I also kinda wanted Jake to take a swing at the baby. I really hope they don't keep that stupid name. The whole car had to ask me what was wrong when I read that Jake imprinted. I don't think I can even pick up the book again for a while. I need to just lay down and try and take a nap back here in the car.

Today is Wednesday. I got Breaking Dawn on Monday. We got to Charlevoix on Friday and I asked in the only book store they had and their waiting list was already longer than the amount of books they were scheduled to get in. On Sunday we got to Mackinac Island and didn't have time to check around town for a book store until Monday. Honestly, I expected them to all be sold out, but the one books store in town had a few books left. They gave me a button and a sheet of stickers, which I was disappointed to see said "Edward and Bella 4 Ever" and My <3 Belongs to Edward. I contemplated going back and asking for Jake stickers. :P

Ugh, I guess I'll have to get around to reading the book before Friday, because Trish and I are going downtown for the John Green thing, and I want to meet Hank, and then hopefully staying for this wrock thing at some place that I think may be a club because you need to be 17 to get in. I'll be back in town for my riding lesson tomorrow but I already told them last week that I wouldn't so I canceled. It's actually ok though, because I need that money for train tickets downtown and I want to buy Looking For Alaska so I can finally read it and so John will sign it (hopefully!) then that wrock thing costs $15. I also have to face the disappointment of my boss/4-H leader which is much, much worse than wrath or furry, because yet again, I failed to clear days at work before heading out of town. I really though that I got people to cover for me this time. I think he should just fire me officially, I;m leaving for college in less than three weeks and anyone else would have fired me a long, long time ago. I am pathetic. I can't even get it together enough to just make sure I find someone to work for me before leaving for a vacation I've known about for about a year.

I need a break from Breaking Dawn, peace out.

Today closes another year at the fair, and I have much to say, so I'll say it all in one post.

Firstly, I witnessed a conversation that went about like this. It was in the dark, in between Ashton Shepard and Josh Gracin, so I couldn't tell who was saying what.

"There's like fuckin nothin out there man, like two towns. It's the fuckin badlands! Where the fuck did he say he's goin? Iowa. that's gonna be hard as fuck, breaking fuckin horses all day man. Yeah but it pays man. I no man but still. I could fuckin do team roping cuz there's two guys but not heel ropin that's too fuckin hard but I could learn to fuckin rope the horns. I know man. It's fuckin cold here. Where the fuck is he? He's meeting his girlfrien. Aw fuck."

And I don't think I've ever been around so many people smoking everywhere at once. I almost lost my voice any way due to a cold, so the smoke really didn't help. Also I was screaming during the rodeos and Josh Gracin so that didn't help either.

I have a whole lot more to say but I have to go eat dinner so I'll just edit this post later.

On Friday I took an older woman up to the fair, she had been a volunteer at the farm until her health deteriorated. She really wanted to see the rodeo, and I agreed because I didn't know if I'd have enough money to get up to the fair, and she payed for gas. We got to the rodeo about an hour early, and I just snagged a great seat and sat and read Catcher in the Rye. I've never actually finished it. The start of the rodeo was really dramatic, the girls carrying the big flags, the announcer (named Kelly) gave a speech about putting aside all our differences, politics, religion, and having a good time, then he asked everyone to join in on their prayer. I thought that was a little funny. Then we all recognized the people who served in the armed forces, and then rose for the national anthem, then the bucking horse riding began!

I just wore plain old converse and a t-shirt and jeans. I could have worn my fancy western boots and my plaid shirt with the yoke and shiny silver things and my belt with the buckle and my Wranglers, but I didn't feel like I had to dress to fit in and prove I'm a cowgirl.

Saturday my mom was going up near the fair anyway to see my aunt so she dropped me off and I just kind of hung out in the dairy barn with the other 4-H kids and moms, and they gave me a present for making the banner, a box of purple hair dye! At 6 pm I went to the rodeo again, but I left right after the team roping because I wanted to make it back to the dairy barn in time to catch some free food. My 4-H leader's Holstein cow Jenny won the whole thing, best dairy cow, so as tradition states, she bought dinner for the whole barn.
Then my step-dad came up and we walked around, we saw Woody's Menagerie show, which is just some guy and his family showing off their private exotic pets. Then we went and listened to Ashton Shepard but she was almost done, then next was JOSH GRACIN!! Oh my god, that was amazing, there is no other word for it. I ended up moving down about two or three people from the stage, at the end, right next to the speaker. He was awesome and his new fiddle player was so cute and he played electric fiddle! :D
Here are the videos I took
<lj-embed id="2" />

and me talking about it and how I almost got a shirt.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ZudOuLX1pk

Today I mostly slept because I ended up going to sleep at 7 am and sleeping until 6 pm, but I also did some thinking about life. I'm taking some more lyrics to heart, I want to take everything that this world has to give, I want to live. I also think the best that you can hope for is to die with your boots on, and that life is not tried, it is merely survived, if you're standing outside the fire. I've decided to go to live in Ames as planed, take a few classes, and get a job, preferably at a barn. I think I was basing my happiness too much on my success in the hunter jumper show ring. I'd like to try at take up some western riding, perhaps in exchange for working at a barn. I still want to keep taking weekly jumping lessons but I want to get out there and just ride to ride. I want to relax and stop banking my happiness once and for all on how many views my Youtube videos have, how many people reply to my forum threads, and dumb things like that. I just want to live.

I have more videos of the rodeo and of some lions and two ligers that I'll post later.

And by best I mean the ones that I really hope happen.

1. The Volturi kill Edward. Bella hears his voice in her head telling her to be happy. Bella and Jacob can live their lives the way they would have naturally, together.
Apart from me just wanting to see poor Jake happy, this scenario would leave out difficult things like pulling her parents into something or ignoring them without giving them reason or warning.

2. Bella is turned some way or another and her power is to literally take other people's emotion, most notably, pain. This would mean she felt it herself and not the other person.

I still don't know exactly when I'm getting my copy of Breaking Dawn. We're leaving home Tuesday, August 1st really early, and if all goes well we should be somewhere around Charlevoix, Michigan on August 2nd. I don't yet know if we're going to be there by Tuesday night, or if we plan on getting there on Wednesday. We have friends in Charlevoix, that's why we're stopping. The final destination is Mackinac Island, where we will be until early to midday, Sunday, August 6th. :( That means there is little to no chance I will make it home in time for Wrock Out Chicago, and since I couldn't afford tickets to Terminus, I'll have to settle for the dinky little unofficial meat-ups. :( There were so many people I wanted to meet and so many wrock bands I wanted to see. I've wanted to go to a Remus Lupins show for a whole year, and they came within an hour of my house three times, but I couldn't make any due to a combination of no gas money, a blizzard, and my parents thinking it was too far. :(
